MLC Facilities Advisors was founded by Maury Chaput, CEM. Mr. Chaput has over 40 years of experience in the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of institutional facilities, including over 20 years in higher education.

  • 15 Years of progressively more responsible roles in the planning, design, and construction of facilities at Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE).
  • 5 years as the Director of Construction Management at Constellation Energy Projects and Services, a for-profit subsidiary of BGE.
  • 21 years as the Executive Director of Administrative Services at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC). In this role he oversaw four (4) departments: Facilities Design and Construction; Facilities Maintenance and Operations; Workplace Safety and Risk Management, and Document Services

Career Highlights

  • Led the development of five (5) ten-year campus master plans for a 230-acre, 1.1 million square foot community college campus.
  • Managed the generation of three (3) facilities condition audits that led the aggressive response for their findings. Maintained a <$4 million maintenance backlog fo r a $400 million inventory.
  • Led the expansion of a Anne Arundel Community College by 469,000 square feet including three (3) LEED Gold projects
  • Served as responsible executive on the state-of-the-art, 172,000 SF Health and Life Sciences Building.
  • Implemented a 750 kW solar array at no cost to the college
